Suggestion: Ignore Always

May 31, 2014 at 6:31 PM
I'd like to suggest an "Ignore Always" option.

It would work similarly to the existing "Ignore All" except it would be permanent.

This differs from "Add to dictionary" in that the "Ignore Always" words would never be a spelling suggestion and also not allow coding terms to be slipped into text/strings that a user would see.

For example, in the comment "// Change the PRINTDLG struct so that the custom"
the words "struct" and "PRINTDLG" could be set to "Ignore Always".

The way it's written right now, the "Add to Dictionary" is a bit of a misnomer. While it does add it to the user dictionary and will thus recognize it as a correctly spelled word, it won't show them as suggestions for other misspellings since they aren't currently passed on to the NHunspell instance. I'll fix that for the next release and add the "Ignore Always" option too.
